“Their wit is razor sharp, but Judi Chicago are no joke…amazing pop songs about love, life and deep fried chicken, their lyrical reference points so spot on, you’ll be slapping your forehead at the brilliance of it. They are the weekend!”
Richard Vernon- Infadels

JUDI CHICAGO is the sound of the sticky skylines and chickenbone sidewalks of Atlanta…

Atlanta based Judi Chicago have already caused a storm in the US with their genre blending pop tunes, electric live shows and their 2008 debut album ‘Judi Chicago x 1,000,000’. Now they’re ready to hit our shores with ‘Fun City’, the first single to be taken from highly anticipated 2nd album ‘Bright Lights, Fun City’.

Comprised of James Joyce, Travis Thatcherand Ben Coleman these boys create gleeful noise with a knowing sense of humor, genre cramming acid house, Technicolor glam rock-and-roll, art-punk and the beats & breaks of jungle and classic rave into their catchy tunes.

Working with fellow Atlanta producer Ben Allen (’St. Elsewhere’ Gnarls Barkley, ‘Merriweather Post Pavilion’, Animal Collective) the album is the result of a band loving what they do whilst never losing sense of what makes a great tune. ‘Fun City’perfectly encapsulates this: Fuzzy bass lines drive the cheeky melody, leading to a joyfully female backed chorus. Unashamedly fun, it sounds like the resulting smoothie one would get throwing the Infadels, Hockey and the B 52’s into a blender.
