MEET THE ARTST |X-RAUM | Bogota Colombia
Mario Benavides a.k.a X-Raum, a German word that means “Space” is a DJ and producer from Bogotá who attending as a Raver, during his stay of several years on a study mission in Austria and Germany, does know the scene of electronic music in Vienna, Berlin, Stockholm and other European cities. Thus, influenced by the sounds and masters of the German school of Techno and Electro, such as Anthony Rother, Ascii Disko, Dj Hell, Sven Väth, Fidelity Kastrow and Jonty Skrufff, he decides that TECHNO would be something important besides his career as an Architect.
X-Raum has been venturing since 2005 into the world of DJing as a passionate music selector to record session mixes and as a guest DJ at some college events and some circuits of underground clubs in Vienna and other Austrian cities.
Throughout different stays in his country Colombia and as a member of the local collective Groove 69 (now based in Stockholm Sweden), between 2003 and 2009 he was part of the Clubs circuit of La Macarena in Bogota and the college scene of electronic music.
Since the second semester of 2017 X-Raum is dedicated to his training as a music producer and composer of electronic music at the Dj Beats Academy in the city of Bogotá, on his label called Kraft Atomo ReKords, X-Raum expects to produce in 2018 Techno with deep roots in the Colombian culture as a musical proposal in response to the reality full of edges and different faces that his country lives.
He is also founder of the label Kraft Atomo Rekords He started producing just recently in 2017 exploring through several sounds and musical colours to finally build his sounds into Techno music. His first original EP “will be released in the year 2019 via Kraft Atomo Rekords, X-Raum hopes to produce in 2019 Techno with deep roots in the Colombian culture as a musical proposal in response to the reality full of edges and different faces that his country lives. Born in a little town on the battlefields of Natal in South Africa, later moving onto Johannesburg, then Cape Town where a deep seated passion for any music that moved him led to dabbling in the DJ scene and Liquid Static was born.
First playing Progressive Trance & PsyTrance then Tech House before being bitten by the Techno Bug and developing an almost obsession with the Genre. Influenced by Artists such as Reza Golroo, Frank Deka, SdRm, he is known for deep, powerful sets taking you into the darker reaches of Contemporary Techno.

Thierry Vercouter aka Chip Verco is a Belgium based Dj/producer well known across the Europe, for his recently released on STROHM RECORDS track “Ein, Zwei, Drei”
“Ein, Zwei, Drei” was played on “STUDIO BRUSSEL”– National Radio of BELGIUM.
In ’95 he started his career as a DJ playing live sets at local clubs events. Inspired by Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills and Luke Slater, he got involved into his own passion for producing. Currently he is about to release his first EP- Abstructional Danger Buzzer(pre-order on Beatport) on STROHM RECORDS, April 3.

Markus Kovacs is a Techno-Dj from Munich. He started Djing in 1997 on two belt-drive turntables. The „Presswerk Munich“, recordstore, DJ-booking and events, managed his first performances in Germany and Austria under his former artistname „Project2504“. He played on techno-events, like the open air festival in Schwaz (Aut), at the Temple Club (Reactor) Munich „Potempkin Club III“ and the Club „Marrakesch“ at „Kunstpark Ost“ (Munich). Markus Kovacs is an artist, who ist very flexible by the different styles of electronic music. Certainly he likes the powerful and massive techno beats of todays hardcore and dark techno. But it´s also possible that he creates a melodious psy-trance techno set. For him techno isn´t just music. It is art, which is able to surround all your emotions, to lead in a magical way. It´s a part of personality. starting in the 90´s with „love, peace and unity“, the massage of „Love Parade“. After ten years living at Berlin, where he was influenced by the electro-techno styles, he went back to Munich. Now the digital era opened doors and he switched to work with Traktor Scratch. Sometimes to combine vinyls and digital track or to play with different loops on three decks. He´s next back on stage at the Kult-Beat“ event at the „Tante Erna – Optimolwerke“ (Munich) on 09.09.2017
